SciBorgs 2018

Pensar supports the PART SciBorgs (FRC Team 4061) through the robot-loving Aaron Johnson and Trent Wetherbee. The SciBorgs just had their first competition this last weekend at the Yakima Sundome.

At the end of the FIRST Robotics Competition district tournament, they were ranked third in a field of 31 teams from Washington and Oregon.

In the playoffs they were in the 2nd alliance with teams from Trout Lake and Portland and came in Finalists – 2nd place in the tournament. They also earned the Excellence in Engineering Award sponsored by Delphi Technologies.

This amazing, world-wide mentor program inspires high school students to pursue careers in engineering and other technological areas. FRC Team 4061 is in their 7th season of designing, building, and trouble-shooting robots that compete all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond. The PART SciBorgs are hoping to earn a spot to the FIRST Championships in Houston for the 5th time in a row.

Their next tournament is next weekend at West Valley High School, Spokane Valley: Friday, March 23- Saturday, March 24th. You are invited to come—free admission for the whole family! Bring your love of competition, dancing shoes and earplugs-it’s loud!
