FIRST Robotics Competition – Update 1

Pensar Development partners with the Palouse Area Robotics Team for this years FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition.

UPDATE 1:

After week three of the FRC eight-week season, Team 4061 is ranked 6th in the Pacific Northwest District out of 154 robotics teams from Washington, Oregon and Alaska. They’ve had a few very exciting weeks with their first two district competitions.

The 1st Competition at West Valley High School:

It was a rough start, but then the students were able to make adjustments. The SciBorgs completed the event being ranked 3rd in the Semifinal Playoffs and ranked first in the competition for their climbing percentage. The team also earned the Gracious Professionalism Award.

The 2nd Competition at Central Washington University:

Team 4061 finished as Finalists/2nd Place. The end-game of climbing the airship rope has become a critical part of game play strategy. The SciBorgs continue their record of 100% climbing points with every attempted climb.

Looking ahead to the Pacific Northwest District Championships in Cheney, PART SciBorgs will be competing with 64 of the top teams in this district on April 6-8. The championships will be held at Reese Court at Eastern Washington University. If anyone would like to attend, admission is always free, and it’s a family-friendly atmosphere.
